Adult Volunteering With The Gillingham Scouts

The quality of Scouting offered, depends greatly on the volunteers and the skills they have to offer. We have a team of dedicated volunteers at Gillingham Scouts, some of whom are Scout Leaders,  some are parents who give a little time when they can, others help out when their skills can be of assistance. The mix of volunteers is diverse.

Every section within our Scout Group, from Beavers through to Explorers, is run by Scout Leaders who have undergone the required training, been Police checked and they adhere to a code of conduct. Volunteers help out, even becoming Scout Leaders themselves if they meet the criteria.

Volunteering can open up other opportunities within employment and career opportunities, as well as becoming associate members of organisations such as, The Institute Of Training and Occupational Learning.

If you think you might like to help out, an hour a week makes a difference that’s all it takes, get in touch to find out more.
